• 1. When is my tuition due?
  • The payment deadline is August 16th. Click here for additional information and important dates to know or contact our office at 956-882-8202.
• 2. When will I receive my refund?
  • If you have set up direct deposit, funds will be received within the first week of class. Otherwise, it will take approximately 1 to 3 weeks to receive your financial aid refund by regular mail.
• 3. How do I set up direct deposit?
  • Log in to UTB Online to enter your banking information. From the log in screen, click on "Student Menu" and then click on the "Bank Information" link located under the Financial Information section.
• 4. Where do I apply for an installment plan?
  • Log in to UTB Online. From the log in screen, click on "Student Menu" and then click on the "Installment Plan Application" link located under the Financial Information section.

• 5. How do I make a payment?
  • Students have the following options to make payments:

    Online. Credit card payments can be made in UTB Online.

    In person. Cash, money order, checks and credit card payments can be made in person at the Cashier’s windows, located in Tandy Hall, Room 107.

    A valid Texas ID or driver’s license and a UTB student ID are required for credit card payments. After business hours, money order and check payments can be made using the drop box located next to the cashier’s windows in Tandy Hall.

    By Mail. Make checks or money orders payable to The University of Texas at Brownsville, and mail to:

    All mailed payments must be post marked before the payment deadline.

• 6. What happens if I don’t pay by the payment deadline?
  • The University reserves the right to void student’s registration if payment is not received by the payment deadline.
• 7. What should I do if I my classes have been voided due to non-payment?
  • Students can register again during the late registration period. A late registration fee will apply. Please contact the Office of the Registrar 956-882-8254 if you have additional questions.
• 8. Who do I contact regarding my financial aid status?
  • Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid, located in Tandy Hall, Room 205 or log into UTB Online. From the log in screen, click on "Student Menu" and then click on the "Financial Aid by Term" link located under the Financial Aid section.
• 9. Where can I view my statement charges?
  • To access your statement of charges log into UTB Online and from the log in screen, click on "Student Menu" and then click on the "statement of charges" link located under the Financial Information section.
• 10. Where can I get my 1098-T?
  • Student can access their 1098-T form in UTB Online after submitting an electronic consent. From the log in screen, click on "Student Menu" and then click on the "1098 Electronic Consent" link located under the Financial Information section. After the consent is submitted, click on "View My 1098-T Forms." Forms for the previous year are available after January 31.
