Skip Clean Program
Following the University’s continued commitment to create an eco-friendly environment and reduce costs, the Skip Clean Program became a campus-wide initiative during Earth Week 2011. This program changes the frequency of cleaning in low-traffic areas, while maintaining the same level of cleanliness, conserving energy, and reducing waste.
An example of how the Skip Clean Program works is that offices will now be cleaned three times per week instead of five. Restrooms will continue to be cleaned on a daily basis.
The Skip Clean Pilot Program began at Tandy Hall and the University Boulevard Classroom Building in February 2011. Additional buildings were added to the program during March and the first part of April.
