Starting a Business

If you are at a very basic stage, such as thinking about a business, below are some basic questions to ask yourself:

• What type of formation will the company be? (e.g. – DBA, LLC, corporation)
• Who are the key resources? Provide background information or resume.
• Describe your products or services in detail.
• Have you benchmarked the competition? If so how do you compare in terms of quality, service and price?
• What is your niche? In some cases there may be a lack of the products or services you plan to offer and you may not necessarily have a niche. If that is the case explain, why have you come to that conclusion?
• How are you going to market and sell your products?
• What is your greatest perceived risk?
• What is your recovery plan or safeguard to address the risk?
• Provide monthly projected expenses and sales by month over a period of three years.
• How are you funded?
