What is a VPN?

VPN is a Virtual Private Network that is used to establish a secure channel to a network resource not available outside the university's network or from an untrusted network. ITNet provides VPN service to all Faculty and Staff.

When should I use VPN?

VPN should be used when secure access to a network resource (such as an office computer or internal server) over the Internet from an untrusted network (such as home computer) is needed.
