UTB ID CARD

The use of this card is governed by the rules and regulations of The University of Texas at Brownsville. UTB is not responsible for any loss or expense resulting from the loss, theft or misuse of this card. As UTB property, it must be relinquished upon request. If found, please return/report to Campus Police at (956) 882-8232.

UTB ID CARD for Students

  • All UTB students are required to obtain a current UTB ID CARD with their student identification number.
  • It is strongly recommended that the UTB ID CARD is carried at all times while on university property. This card is a requisite to access various UTB facilities, including the library, computer laboratories, and health services.
  • In order to have a UTB ID CARD issued, student must present a driver's license, military ID or another form of picture identification card.
  • In order to have a UTB ID CARD issued, students must be registered for classes for the current semester.
  • The first UTB ID CARD is free. A $10 fee is charged for replacing an ID card.
  • The card is valid as long as the student remains enrolled at UTB.
  • Your ID CARD will serve as your student identification card and library card.
  • Students must apply for a card in person at either the University Boulevard Library's Computer Help Desk or the User Support Services Help Desk located on the 1st floor of the Oliveira Library.

UTB ID CARD for Faculty and Staff

  • All UTB faculty and staff are required to obtain a current UTB ID CARD with their faculty or staff identification number.
  • It is strongly recommended that the UTB ID CARD is carried at all times while on university property. This card is a requisite to access various UTB facilities, including the library, computer laboratories, and health services.
  • In order to have a UTB ID CARD processed, faculty or staff member must present a driver's license, military ID or another form of picture identification card along with the blue slip issued by the Human Resources department.
  • The card is valid as long as the faculty or staff member remains employed at UTB.
  • Your ID CARD will serve as your employee identification card and library card.
  • Faculty and staff must apply for a card in person at either the University Boulevard Library's Computer Help Desk or the User Support Services Help Desk located on the 1st floor of the Oliveira Library.
