Previous Positions and Where:
Dr. Ragland previously served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at UTB/TSC. Prior to joining UTB/TSC, she was at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, where she was director of the Mass Communication Program, and at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, serving as Advisor to Student Media.
She began teaching journalism in 1985 at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque after almost 20 years in the news business. She was a broadcast editor and newswoman for The Associated Press for 16 years in Little Rock, Arkansas; Dallas, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Columbus, Ohio. She also was a reporter for the Dallas Times-Herald and the Springdale, Arkansas, News.
