Dec. 27-30 2012 Pan American Intercollegiate Chess Championship, New Jersey

Location: Frick Chemistry Laboratory, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ 08540. Tournament Dates: December 27-30, 2012. Intercollegiate Tournament Format: 4 Player Teams, up to 2 Alternates, traditional 6 round Swiss Tournament, G/90 + 30 second increment. Coach/captain must hand in proposed team roster changes one hour before the beginning of the round. Rounds: Rd. 1: 12/27 6 pm, Rd. 2: 12/28 10 am, Rd. 3: 5 pm, Rd 4: 12/29 10 am, Rd 5: 5 pm, and Rd 6: 12/30 9 am. Open to: College and University teams from North and South America including the Caribbean. Teams must supply letter from University stating that the players meet eligibility requirements. Entry Fees: Priority Registration by 12/5/12 - $200 per team. After 12/5/12 $240 per team. Cash Prizes: Top Teams 1st-5th $1500-1000-600-400-250, Top Division II Team $400, Top International Team $500 (If more than 3 teams), Top Boards 1-4 $100 each, Team Upset Prize per Round: $100. Team Trophies or Plaques: Top 5 Teams, Division II Champion (2000-2199), Division III Champion (1800-1999), Division IV Champion (U1800), Top Team U1600, Top International Team, Top Boards 1-4, and Top Alternate. Tournament is FIDE Rated but uses USCF rules.
