Gorgas Science Society

Purpose:

To encourage environmental conservation and education, to develop student interes in different fields of science, further encouraging them to participate in community services in relation to the environment, and to make connections with classroom scienc knowledge to hands on field experience through trips to Rancho del Cielo, the university's biological station in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

 

Requirements:

$5 dues

 

Statement of Major Activities, or Interests:

Sabal Palms Sanctuary, Resaca de la Palma State Park, Boo at the Zoo, Zoofari, Earth Day, Sombrero Festival, Rio Reforestation, Beach clean-ups, Campus clean-ups, City clean-ups.
