Minor in Military Science

The Department of Military Science offers courses to all students and provides the opportunity to increase individual skills and knowledge in leadership and management. Students who enroll in lower-level courses are not obligated to serve in the military. Students with potential to serve as commissioned officers can choose to pursue a minor in military science.

The leadership and management experience gained through the ROTC will benefit the student in civilian as well as in military service and national defense careers. Students in the program have the opportunity to:

• Enhance leadership and managerial potential
• Attain basic understanding of military fundamentals and national security
• Attain clear understanding of the concept of military art and science
• Develop a strong sense of personal honor, integrity and individual responsibility
