Through one or more of its individual Allied Health Programs, the department seeks the following goals:

Scholarship

1. Circulate health care knowledge through scholarship, consultation, and professional development activities (Division Goal 4) (College Goal 4)

Teaching

2. To prepare graduates with employable skills as an entry level health care professional

3. To prepare graduates to be successful in the certification  examination of the designated professional area (Division Goal 2) (College Goal 2)

4. To cultivate professional ethics and standard of practice for each individual program

5. To develop students' problem solving and critical thinking skills

6. To provide workforce training, continuing education, and lifelong learning to students
