"Dreams of Brownsville"

​ 

 "Dreams of Brownsville," a group show that will feature the works of Ken & Melody Shipley, will open on Tuesday, August 26 from 6 - 8 pm. The exhibition will be remain open until Friday, September 26. Light refreshments will be served. ​
 
     Ken Shipley is the Professor of Art at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, USA. He has worked in ceramics for 30 years and began his career as an apprentice to both Charles Counts in Rising Fawn, GA and Bill Ashley in Chattanooga, TN. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies and the Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
    Melody Shipley completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN in 1996. She conducts regional workshops, such as at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and in area public schools through the Artist in the Schools program and the Community School for the Arts at Austin Peay State University. ​
 

 

 Closing date of the exhibition will be Friday, September 26, 2014
