Dr. Jared A. Montoya

Welcome to the Master of Arts in Psychology program at The University of Texas at Brownsville. We are pleased that you are interested in our program and have visited our website. Our program offers you the unique opportunity to work in a binational setting alongside professors who have a wealth of scholarly and practical experience in psychology.

Our program is designed to provide you with enhanced training in psychological theory and research. The aim of this program is to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in industry or to further prepare you for acceptance into doctoral programs. If you are preparing for a career in the private or public sector, our program offers you first hand applied research experience. If you seek to build your research repertoire in order to enter doctoral programs in psychology, we provide you with opportunities to refine your research skills, to conduct original research, and to present your findings at professional conferences.
If you have questions that are not answered by the information on this website, please contact me or stop by my office (Main 1.438).
