PROGRAMS OF STUDY
The department is committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student body. We offer several different degrees that can be competely earned by attending traditional classroom-based courses, degrees that can be earned completely by taking courses in an online environment, and degrees that can be earned by completing some courses in a traditional setting and some online. In addition, we offer the B.S. in Criminal Justice in a format that allows student to concentrate their coursework in either Police Administration or Correctional Administration. Below is an overview of the five degree plans offered by the department. We also offer an Institutional Award in Forensic Investigations that targets working professionals in need of working knowledge in the area of forensic investigations.

Note 1: The BSCJ degree plans listed above for Correctional Administration and Police Administration are for students entering Fall 2010 or thereafter. For students entering the program prior to the Fall of 2010 please select the following: BSCJ Correctional Administration or BSCJ Police Administration.
Students entering the program prior to Fall of 2010 who have not yet taken CRIJ 4311 Advanced Police Organization and Management or CRIJ 3345 Correctional Administration, please be advised that these courses will no longer be offered. Students will need to enroll in CRIJ 4320 Criminal Justice Organization and Management to substitute for CRIJ 4311 or CRIJ 3345. The student will need to see the Chair of the Department, Dr. Kevin Buckler, to obtain the proper course substitution documentation.
