Biography:
Dr. Maria (Nikkie) Saldivar Hodgson is a Rio Grande Valley native. She earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from Texas State University, a master of arts in communication from the University of Texas Pan American and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Saldivar Hodgson is an assistant professor. She has extensive work experience in student retention, recruitment, admissions and financial aid from various institutions of higher learning. Her research interests include leadership and communication.
