Biography:
Charles Dameron, professor of English, has served at UTB/TSC for 25 years. He earned his B.A. degree from Duke University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a widely published poet, with 5 collections of poems and more than 130 individual poems published in a variety of literary magazines. He has recently returned to teaching after serving as a department chair, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Vice President for Academic Affairs. A recipient of the Chancellor’s Outstanding Teaching Award from The University of Texas System, Professor Dameron teaches creative writing and a variety of courses in American and world literature.
