Biography:
Karina is a full-time lecturer currently teaching Composition I and II and World Literature. She holds a Master’s degree in English from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a Master’s degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her previous research has focused on the child in Victorian Literature, the treatment of motherhood and mothers in American Realism, the marginalization of the Other in Don Quijote, and Simone de Beauvoir’s influence on the works of Rosario Castellanos and Angeles Mastretta.
