Biography:

Carlos Figueroa holds a Ph.D. in both Political Science and Historical Studies from The New School for Social Research in New York City, an M.S. in General Administration from Central Michigan University, and B.A. in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florham Park/Madison, N.J. His research and teaching interests include the politics of Race, Religion and Policy development, American political development, American and African American Politics and Political Thought, Qualitative/Interpretive Methods, Historical Methods & Sources, Interpretive Policy Analysis, and Latino Politics in the U.S. He teaches undergraduate courses on U.S. political institutions (Congress, Political Parties and Presidency), and graduate courses in the Masters in Public Policy and Management program (Leadership and Ethics, Qualitative Research Methods, and Public Policy Analysis). He recently published a chapter in Faith and Race in American Political Life with the University of Virginia Press, 2012. For more details on his current research, please see his curriculum vitae.
