Students obtain real work experience this summer
Miguel Marquez, a business management major at UTB-TSC, said he has put his education to the test this summer.
Marquez, a college senior, is part of a Student Mentorship Initiative in which students from the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College School of Business are receiving real-world job experience through internships.
Russell Adams, assistant professor of business administration, is the co-developer of the project with Career Services. He said students can increase their chances of finding a job after graduation with the initiative.
