Graduate
The Graduate Program in Mathematics
The program for the Master of Science in Mathematics is intended to provide students with knowledge of theoretical mathematics that will give them the opportunity to be successful in their chosen careers, the ability to appreciate the beauty and discipline of abstract mathematics, and the capability to sense the power of mathematical applications.
The graduate courses offered by the faculty introduce the student to higher mathematics in a flexible, informal manner. Classes are small and faculty encourage students to participate in active discussions.
As students learns mathematics, the interaction with vigorous and creative faculty will lead them to work on open or unsolved problems, and, thus, reach the frontiers of mathematical research.
