Early Physician Assistant Studies program
Student's interested in applying for one of the early acceptance programs listed should contact us or stop by Life Health Science Building (LHSB) 2.822, Biology Wing, for an appointment or to register as a pre-early acceptance student and ensure all requirements are met on time. Non-registered students will not be allowed to apply for early acceptance. Applying for any early acceptance program will require dedication and commitment on the part of the student.
The Early Physician Assistant Studies Program, or EPASP, in partnership with The University of Texas-Pan American is a conditional acceptance program designed to increase the number of applicants from South Texas. It is recomended that UTB/TSC students interested in EPASP should major in Biology. Students who do not meet the requirements for early acceptance should visit the UTPA Physician Assistant home page for more information about applying directly to UTPA.
- Proof of Residency in South Texas
- Have completed at minimum of 15 and maximum of 60 credit hours
- Minimum 1000 SAT or 21 ACT
- 3.25 overall and science GPA
- Evidence of exceptional achievement
- Shadowing hours under a MD, PA or NP
