Desire2Learn Learning Management System
Desire2Learn, D2L, a learning management system (LMS), is one of the learning managment systems faculty are investigating as a possible alternative to Blackboard. Fraculty from all over campus are comparing functions
D2L will be on campus February 1, 2013 to make presentations to stakeholders. All meetings will be in SET-B 3rd Floor Conference Room. The schedule is below.
- 9:00 - 10:00 Institutional Effectiveness
- 10:30 - 12:00 Faculty and Student Services
- 2:00 - 3:00 Deans and Chairs
- 3:30 - 5:00 IT and wrap-up
Our guest is Mr. Stephan Meyer, Director for Strategic Accounts, who will share his insights and expertise in helping craft successful engagements such as Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, University System of Georgia (SACS), Broward County (FL, SACS), Daytona State (FL, SACS), and many more university clients.

Processes Colleges Used to Choose Desire2Learn
Join the Faculty Class to learn about Desire2Learn as a student.
If you would like to participate in a class to learn about the features as a student, contact Betsy Price, 956-882-7334 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be entered in the class as a student, participate in online discussions, assignments (they will be easy) and other features.
Make your own class on Desire2Learn.
If you would like to use Desire2Learn as an instructor, we will make a class for you. You can compare activities you do on Blackboard with those of Desire2Learn.
After you have completed your expereince on Desire2Learn, we would like to invite you to comlete a LMS Assessment so that we can compare Desire2Learn with Canvas and Blackboard.
