Faculty workshops and other events are presented by UTB faculty and invited national experts. The workshops are all interactive with plenty of discussion and sharing of teaching strategies and classroom management and organizational techniques. Unless otherwise stated, most workshops present information that is applicable to all disciplines. The workshops are chosen for timely topics, innovative teaching techniques, and new perspectives on tried and true traditional teaching styles.

The times and days vary to ensure that all full and contingent faculty, adjuncts, lecturers, visiting professors, graduate students can attend.

  • Brown Bag lunches are discussion orientated with a topic leader to keep the discussion bouncing.
  • Twilight events are at 5:30 and are lively events to send you off afterward to a hearty dinner at home or with friends.
  • Donut Saturdays are skill building workshops that provide time for practice and experience in a teaching technique, technology, or pedagogy.
  • Clubs are study, application or research groups that meet to provide support, discussion, or action on a specific topic.  All are open for anyone to attend as your schedule sees fit.

All workshops are open, and very welcome, to full time faculty, part time faculty, adjuncts, and graduate students.
