Welcome to the College of Nursing at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. The College of Nursing offers the opportunity for excellent nursing education in Vocational Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, Baccalaureate Nursing for Registered Nurses and Master of Science in Nursing. Through a partnership arrangement with the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, School of Nursing, the College of Nursing also provides students the opportunity to obtain a PhD in Nursing or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).
The mission of the College of Nursing is to provide high quality nursing education for students and to provide opportunities for life-long learning for nurses. The College of Nursing also recognizes the diversity and uniqueness of the community that it serves, and is committed to the enhancement of the quality of health care through excellence in teaching, research, service, continuing education and the promotion of evidence-based practice.
The faculties at the College of Nursing are highly qualified professional nurse educators who are committed to guide students to successful completion of the educational process and in becoming highly qualified practitioners that will ultimately enhance the quality of health care in the communities they serve.
