Dean's Welcome

I am so pleased to welcome you to University College! You are beginning your journey toward your degree. University College is the one stop source for all of your learning, social, and support needs. In University College, you will find interesting courses to help you begin your study in your major or explore options toward different degree programs.

The First Year Seminar courses are offered in many different subject areas and will provide you with an introduction to the programs and assist you in learning the best study methods for your area. The First Year Seminar courses will introduce you to faculty in your study area, an advisor who will guide you, and peers who are studying the same topics.

University College can assist you with finding academic and social support. If you need to ask for any assistance as you become adjusted to college learning and college life, please stop by, call, or send an email to the Dean, staff, or faculty of University College.

University College offers collaborative assistance for faculty and staff who are working with first year students or teaching First Year Seminar courses. We are also here to serve all university faculty and staff who are interested in retention and graduation of candidates in their own program disciplines of study.
