As you know, the campus administrative units in Business and IT have been working diligently to convert functions from our current system DataTel to PeopleSoft. The project, which involves all of the UT academic campuses and system administration, will provide one common platform for human resources and financial processes and information once completed.
In early June an extensive review of the status of the project timeline was completed to determine if implementation of the system by the planned go-live date of September 3, 2013 would result in a quality product. Based on the results, the UTShare Project Management Team adjusted the go-live date to May 1, 2014. The Project Management Team felt that extending the time would ensure that all campuses and the required infrastructure would be ready to provide the expected level of services.
