Administrative Clerk I (Part-time)
Position Number: P/T - 10/2009
Reports to: Vice President for Partnership Affairs
Scope: To perform a variety of general clerical duties in support of an assigned function; to maintain an accurate filing system; to coordinate meetings; to process correspondence and to provide a variety of clerical support to assigned supervisory staff. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. The candidate must be knowledgeable of the use of modern office equipment and computers. Perform various clerical duties in support of assigned functions. (Working only 19 hours per week - part-time position with no benefits)

Assistant Men's Soccer Coach (Part-time)
Position Number: P/T - 07/2009
Reports to: Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Scope: Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting in the overall management of the men’s soccer program including coaching, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student athletes, scheduling, travel arrangements, performing various administrative duties and scholarship management in accordance with all notional conference and UT System regulations and policies. The candidate will also be assigned other duties as related to experience, qualifications and departmental needs. Education: Requires an associate’s degree in Education or related field.
Experience: Requires four (4) years experience in athletic programs, coaching or in a related field. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices and practices of soccer including rules, regulations, training and strategy. They must also demonstrate knowledge of NAIA rules and have a strong commitment to the academic, athletic and social development of the student athletes.

MEDIA PRODUCTION MANAGER (Part-time)
Position Number: P/T - 10/2009
Reports to: Distance Education
Scope: to direct, videotape and edit video academic productions for UTB/TSC schools and colleges, including training videos, live webcasts and video capture courses. Must have the ability to train, mentor and supervise technical staff in video production and photography. Education: Associated degree in related field required.
Experience: Requires extensive experience in a university environment working with students, faculty, staff and administrators. This position requires ten years experience of proficient videotaping and editing with non-linear systems and encoding software as well as professional video cameras, sound and lighting equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook); MAC Platform and Final Cut Studio H. Perform other duties as assigned. Peer Mentor Position - LAMP
Position Number: PT 08-22
Reports to: Program Coordinator – Sergio Martinez
Scope: Serve as mentor/role model to first-time freshmen students by following their progress with grades, weekly meetings, and how they are coping with their transition to “university life.” Responsible for record keeping involved with student contact(s)/office appointment(s). Mentors will also be responsible for presentations and research projects.
Education/Experience: Successful candidate must have completed at least 30 college credit hours on campus, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours per semester and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must also be familiar with numerous campus resources. Training and support are provided. Must meet Texas Success Initiative policies (Pass/Exempt from Thea/Compass Exam.). Must comply with UTB/TSC Academic Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. Must be working towards your first associates or bachelors degree. Student must be working on an undergraduate program of study, graduate students do not qualify. Applications can be picked up in Camille Lightner Center 109.
