Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. ______________________________________ Assistant Men's Soccer Coach (Part-time) Position Number: P/T - 07/2009 Reports to: Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scope: Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting in the overall management of the men’s soccer program including coaching, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student athletes, scheduling, travel arrangements, performing various administrative duties and scholarship management in accordance with all notional conference and UT System regulations and policies. The candidate will also be assigned other duties as related to experience, qualifications and departmental needs. Must have the ability to train, mentor and supervise technical staff in video production and photography. ______________________________________ Peer Mentor Position - LAMP Position Number: PT 08-22 Reports to: Program Coordinator – Sergio Martinez Scope: Serve as mentor/role model to first-time freshmen students by following their progress with grades, weekly meetings, and how they are coping with their transition to “university life.” Responsible for record keeping involved with student contact(s)/office appointment(s). Mentors will also be responsible for presentations and research projects. Education/Experience: Successful candidate must have completed at least 30 college credit hours on campus, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours per semester and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must also be familiar with numerous campus resources. Training and support are provided. Must meet Texas Success Initiative policies (Pass/Exempt from Thea/Compass Exam.). Must comply with UTB/TSC Academic Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. Must be working towards your first associates or bachelors degree.
