TUITION ASSISTANCE
For UTB/TSC Faculty & Staff
Spring 2010
The Tuition Assistance application period for Spring 2010 is from Monday, November 16 (8:00 a.m.) to Friday, November 20 (5:00 p.m.)
Forms will be accepted by walk-in (Cortez 129) or readable fax (882-7476). Assistance is awarded in a first-come, first-serve basis. No applications will be accepted before or after the designated periods. Please use the revised July 2008 Tuition Assistance Application (which includes the Nepotism Question form) found below.
NOTICE:Please note that you need to answer "Yes" to all of the following questions in order to qualify for tuition assistance, no exceptions:
- Am I a UTB/TSC full-time employee and currently have been hired full-time for the last 12 consecutive months?
- Do I have my direct supervisor's approval and signature to take the class?
- Will I receive credit hours for taking the course?
- Will I get a letter grade, not “S”, “P” or “K”?
- Is my Grade Point Average (GPA) at least 2.0?
- Is my completion rate at least 70%?
- Do I have a current Staff Review and Development performance review (evaluating my performance in the calendar year 2008) on file in the Human Resources Office (Staff only)?
- Have I completed my state mandated training on our online training system, The Training Post?
- Have I been approved for less than six (6) credit hours of tuition assistance for fiscal year 2010?
- If I took classes in Fall 2009, did I successfully complete all my courses (I did not withdraw)?
- Am I eligible to apply for scholarship based on the Nepotism Question for Scholarship Applicants?
