The following are Wellness Sessions offered free of charge to UTB Employees.
Tai Chi Classes - Spring 2014
Time: Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Location: Casa Bella by pool/gym area (depending on weather)
The Campus Suicide Prevention Program of SHS is hosting weekly Tai-Chi classes at Casa Bella with certified instructor Gabriel Sanchez. These classes are intended to promote well-being on campus. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome! Please be punctual. See you there!
||Busy Moms Group - Spring 2014|
Time: Fridays, 12 - 1 p.m.
Location: Cortez 220
The group will focus on everything that is important to busy moms, including stress management, relaxation, time management, wellness and parenting. Relationship status doesn't matter. Student, staff, faculty are welcomed, and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP 24 hours in advance with Sandra Rubio, LCSW at 882-3896.
Smoking/Tobacco Cessation Resources
In the January 2012 Office of Employee Benefits (OEB) Newsletter “A Matter of Health”, the OEB highlighted the enhancements of our Smoking/Tobacco Cessation resources we have available, which include Free Smoking/Tobacco Cessation Counseling and 100% coverage of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), to our UT SELECT Medical Plan Members that started in FY12. Living Well Blood Pressure Machine
The Living Well Blood Pressure Machine is conveniently located in the Student Health Services Hallway (Cortez Building) for all UTB students, faculty and staff.
