UTB/TSC is now closed due to Tropical Storm Alex
Alert Status: Severe

The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College is now closed due to Tropical Storm Alex.
Classes were shut down and students and employees were released at 3 p.m. today, June 29.
Depending on the impact of the storm, classes could resume and employees could be called back to work as early as Friday, July 2.
The UTB/TSC Office of News and Information will be sending updates and we encourage the campus community to stay informed prior, to and during a storm through area media outlets.
The updates will also be posted on the Hurricane Alert page at www.utb.edu/hurricane and at www.utb.edu and will be sent by campus e-mail using hurricane@utb.edu.
