Safety Tip: Campus Police would like to recommend the following safety suggetions if you believe you are being followed.

If you believe you are being followed and feel unsafe, Campus Police recommends you:

  • Call 911 if you have a cell phone.
  • Stay on heavily-populated streets and in high-traffic areas.
  • Go directly to the Campus Police Department or the Brownsville Police Department.
  • Get good descriptions of the person following you and, if applicable, the vehicle the person is in.
  • Lock your doors and windows, if you’re in a car.
  • Don’t stop moving until you reach a safe destination.
