Guitarist and singer Raul Midon blends flamenco, jazz, R&B, superb lyrics, and a surprisingly good vocal trumpet simulation to create a category-defying sound. His life story is as inspiring as his musical vision.

Midon is into beating the odds and shattering stereotypes. "I was told as a child, 'You're blind; you can't do this,'" he told an interviewer in 2005. "I was told when I moved to New York, 'You can't do that, you're not going to make it.'" At 40, however, this rising star clearly has made it.

Midon’s third album Synthesis was released in 2010, following his critically acclaimed debut album State of Mind in 2005 and World Within a World in 2007.
