Apply for Continuing education

Registering and paying for Workforce Training and Continuing Education courses is easy. Just call (956)882-4192 and tell us what course you want to take and arrange payment (check, purchase order, money order, Visa or MasterCard). Please register early as enrollment is limited. Also note that class dates and times are subject to change, so please call to confirm prior to attending class.

We are working on having online registration and payment for continuing education programs up and running by the Summer 2008. We will post a link here that will direct you to our online registration page.

International Student Information - Continuing Education Programs
By law, every international student must process an I-20 document upon registration to the university in order to apply for an F1 student visa. For Border Commuter students applying for F3 student visas, it is necessary to process and I-20 document every new semester. The following documentation is necessary to process an I-20 form:

  • Passport, valid for at least six months
  • Original bank statement with a minimum balance equal the cost of the course intended to be enrolled for F3 visa students or $7,000 (cost of course plus living expenses) for full-time F1 visa students
  • Notarized Financial Affidavit document (provided by our office)
  • Student visa, for returning students

Upon receipt of a student visa, international students must go to the U.S. port of entry to process an I-94 (which has a cost of $6.00) and obtain a Received stamp on the I-20 document. Both documents should be kept inside the passport. If the student has the I-20 and I-94 documents from the previous semester, the immigration officers at the port of entry will pick them up. Otherwise, they will be picked up at our office.
