Campus Life

Campus life at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College plays an import part in providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, meet other students and network with faculty. From participating in Student Government, extracurricular activities to joining events, clubs and organization, all are an exciting part of student life.
SAFETY:
Safety is a priority on the UTB/TSC campus. The primary mission of the Campus Police is to instill a sense of pride and dignity among the campus community by maintaining a peaceful, orderly communication and to offer a Safe Learning Environment. The department strives to uphold the laws that were created to guarantee a free equitable existence for all by providing protection from the violent acts of others, and needs, and safeguard the personal possessions and property of the campus community and the University.
DINING and BOOKSTORE:
We have two conveniently located restaurants and a bookstore located on the main campus. The U-Mix café is located in the Student Union and a mini-Café in Tandy Hall. Barnes and Noble bookstore and Starbucks are located near the center of campus offering our students a place to purchase textbooks as well as the Bestsellers #10 books while enjoying a cup of java.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT:
UTB/TSC has a vibrant and growing Student Government Association. Students are encouraged to be participate in campus life activities.
