Apply Transfer Students

A transfer student is an individual who has attended another collage(s)/university and the last institution attended was not UTB/TSC.  To apply as a transfer student please complete the following:

Undergraduate Admissions Application
To begin the process of transfering to UTB/TSC, complete and submit an application for admissions.  You can click here to apply on line or apply in-person at one of the following:

    • Admission Office, Tandy 215
    • Go Center/Info Shops in Tandy Hall, Sunrise Mall, UTB/TSC Library, International Technology and Education Campus

Residency
Submit residency documents for tuition purposes to the Office of Admissions.  All residency documents must include the student’s name and address and must be dated 12 months prior to 1st class day.

    • Examples of proof of residency include:
      • Valid permanent Texas driver’s license/ID card
      • Lease agreement
      • Texas voter registration card 
      • Utility Bill
      • Texas high school or college transcript
      • Property tax statement or receipt
      • Cancelled check/bank statement
      • Employer statement indicating dates of employmen

        NOTE: Naturalized citizen or legal resident alien, please submit naturalization certificate or resident alien card.

Official Transcripts
Submit official transcript for all colleges and universities attended.  Transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution previously attended to the UTB/TSC Office of Admissions.  Copies of transcripts and faxes are considered unofficial.

Testing
All incoming students must comply with the Texas Success Initiative (TSI).  Students must attempt and submit official exam results from a state-approved assessment or be exempt/waived.  State approved exams to comply with TSI include Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA), COMPASS, ASSET with writing sample or ACCUPLACER.  For more information, contact the Testing Office (956) 882-8875, Tandy Hall 216.

Academic Advising
Obtain academic advising located in the Lightner Center (956) 882-7362.
