COST OF ATTENDANCE
A key element in determining financial need is determining the cost to attend a particular institution for a given period of time. Once done, financial need is determined as the difference between the cost of attendance and the family's calculated contribution. In order to treat students in like situations equally, standardized costs of attendance are established each year and are applied to applicants in similar situations. This means that students with similar circumstances will receive the same allowances for each of the elements that make up the cost of attendance.
