- Must attend an eligible high school for at least three years
- Must graduate from an eligible high school under the Recommended Curriculum or the Distinguished Achievement Curriculum, as defined by the school district
- Must graduate with a cumulative "B" average or better
- Student must be taking college level credit courses (no remediation) at the time of initial enrollment
- Attend TSC full-time (12 semester credit hours or more), and
- Enroll immediately after high school graduation (or award is reduced by one-fourth for each semester that enrollment at UTB/TSC is delayed after H.S. graduation)
Criteria for students graduating from an unaccredited TSC district high school:
- Must be a TSC District resident for at least three years (Brownsville, Los Fresnos and Port Isabel areas)
- Must attend an eligible high school for at least three years
- Must score at least a 1000 on the SAT, or a 21 on the ACT
- Must graduate from an unaccredited high school or home school program with a cumulative "B" average or better
- Student must be taking college level credit courses (no remediation) at the time of initial enrollment
- Attend TSC full-time (12 semester credit hours or more), and
- Enroll immediately after high school graduation (or award is reduced by one-fourth for each semester that enrollment at UTB/TSC is delayed after H.S. graduation)
To maintain eligibility, students must:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative "B" average each semester (3.0 GPA), and
- Progress through four consecutive semesters excluding summer sessions
- Enroll for at least 12 TSC credit hours
