Registration Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I register?
Follow the instructions on the tutorial on the previous two pages or go to the Help button once you get to the registration menu.
2. Who do I contact if I have trouble accessing UTB Online?
Contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@utb.edu or call at 882-4357.
3. When can I register?
Follow the academic calendar here.
4.Can I access UTB Online 24 hours a day for registration?
Web Registration will be available between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11:59p.m. (unless otherwise noted) on the dates listed on the academic calendar.
5. What if I have a block (or have failed student or course eligibility requirements), can I still register on UTB Online?
If you have a block, you are barred from registration until you clear the block. A list of registration blocks are on this page.
6. Will I be able to make schedule changes (add/ drop) through UTB Online?
If you registered during the first registration period, you can make as many schedule changes as you want until the last day of this registration period. You will not be allowed to make any changes during the late registration period. All students can make schedule changes during the official add/drop period as listed on the academic calendar.
7. Who do I contact if my course requires a granted petition or consent of instructor?
Contact the academic department.The department phone numbers are listed on Pages 29-34.
8. Do I have to enroll in a First Year Seminar course if I am a new student or I have less than 30 credit hours? If I am a former Dual Enrollment student do I have to enroll?
Yes, all first-year students are required to take First Year Seminar. Returning and Transfer students with less than 30 credit hours are required to take the course. Dual Enrollment graduates who are now UTB/TSC students must also complete the course.
9. Where can I pay for my classes for which I have registered?
You may pay through UTB Online or at the Accounting and Finance Office at Tandy Hall No.107 during the appropriate payment dates, or you can contact the Accounting and Finance Office at 882-8202 for payment alternatives. Refer to the academic and the student financial responsibility section on Page 15.
10. Who do I call if I have problems registering?

Disenrollment
Students receiving financial assistance and whose award covers 100 percent of their tuition and fees will have their award applied to their registration. These students will be considered enrolled, and if they will not be attending classes, they must officially disenroll by submitting a complete withdrawal to the Office of the Registrar at Tandy Hall No. 105.
Registration Voids
If a student account has a balance of $75 or more resulting from the original registration, the student’s registration will be voided.
Add/Drop Balances
Students who add classes and do not pay by the add/ drop payment deadline will NOT be dropped from their classes. Students will be officially enrolled in the classes and will receive a grade. It is the student’s responsibility and obligation to pay for the tuition and fees resulting from added classes.
