Dr. Steve Chen, CIO

Dr. Steve Chen is the first CIO at UTB/TSC. He has previously served as the first Vice President of Information Technology at South Texas College of Law, and as the first Chief Information Officer and Assistance Vice President of Academic Affairs at Utica College of Syracuse University. He has been recognized as a Senior Fullbright Specialist (status from 2003-2008)

Dr. Chen received his Masters of Science and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At UIUC, he was the First Place winner in the monochrome category in the CBT Directions Screen Design Competition in Boston.

Dr. Chen is responsible for developing a long term strategic plan and providing leadership in creating and maintaining a fully integrated and secure IT environment for UTB/TSC. Dr. Chen can be reached at (956)-882-7900.
