Bandwidth Usage

Infrastructure, Telecommunications and Networks operation serves as a liaison between UTB and non-UTB entities including BISD, Cameron County, and Office of Telecommunication Services (OTS). It is responsible for acquiring sufficient bandwidth for UTB/TSC so that students, faculty and staff can function productively. Fair use of bandwidth is enforced by monitoring the usage of bandwidth.

ITNet does not look at the content of communication. If bandwidth is disproportionately used by a device on the network, the relevant IT staff is requested to investigate and rectify the problem.
