Telecommunications Lab

ITNet is not solely a stagnant service department. It has a strong research and development side to it. Recently, it acquired funding from National Science Foundation to establish a telecommunications and networks laboratory to enrich curriculum in the relevant Computer Science courses. It also includes equipment for parallel computing and electrical controls. The facility is called BCEIL (Beowulf-based Curriculum Enrichment Integrated Laboratory). Because of its strong research component, ITNet operation infuses new technologies into infrastructure, telecommunications and networks.
