Software and utilities

Not all of the following software is required to use MyUTB Blackboard Online Portal system, but some may be needed to display certain content types (particularly audio, video and PDF files). Here is a list of free audio-video software and more utilities that you can download:

Internet Browser's:

If you have Internet Explorer 8 or 9 installed in your computer please check the compatibility mode option to display the website as viewed in IE 7.

Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader allows you to view, save, and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.

Web/Multimedia Player's


Adobe Flash Player

Adobe Shockwave Player
Adobe Shockwave Player allows you to view content created with Macromedia Director such as games and interactive 3D simulations.

Sun Java
Sun Java Runtime Engine (JRE) allows you to use interactive tools on the web.
