Activity Sessions hosted by the Department of Health and Human Performance

Mondays & Wednesdays 5:15 PM—6:15 PM --- Cardio, Power and Dance it Off!!!
Exercise sessions will consists of the combination of cardio training, strength conditioning and basic dance movement activities at the beginner level that will help you improve fitness and lower body fat.   

Class sessions will be held in the multi-studio in the administration/education wing of the REK Center.  Open to UTB/TSC employees participating in the, “Get Moving,” campus campaign for wellness.  REK membership is not required to participate.  For more information contact Dr. Zelma Mata the class instructor at ext. 8290 or email her at zelma.mata@utb.edu .  Class begins September 14, 2009.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM --- Bujinkan Taijutsu
This is a Japanese martial art system designed for self defense.  Classes are held in a relaxed and non-competitive atmosphere and will be a chance for people at all fitness levels to enjoy learning self defense skills while starting to 'Get Moving'.  No experience necessary and beginners are welcome.

Class sessions will be held in the multi-studio in the administration/education wing of the REK Center.  Open to UTB/TSC employees participating in the, “Get Moving,” campus campaign for wellness.  REK membership is not required to participate.   For more information contact Dr. Eric James the class instructor at ext. 5994 or email him at eric.james@utb.edu.  The class begins September 15, 2009.
