Make a gift to the Barry T. Horn Endowment Scholarship for the Arts

Our community has lost a brilliant man.  Barry was the smartest, wittiest, most talented and kindest person I have ever known. Together with my dear friend Barbara Jennings, Barry encouraged me to set up the George Truan Endowment Scholarship Fund, which continues to help aspiring art majors with their educational expenses.  I will always treasure our lunch gatherings at Tia Ines Restaurant, where Barry's wit and ever-happy presence made us all forget about our problems. Rest in peace, Amigo. I will miss you forever.
— Bitty Truan, friend

He was a pro who saw things with a great deal of vision. He did not judge. Instead, on many occasions he took care to understand what made life better for those around him. He brought passion and positive energy to everything he worked on. He was a good guy.
— Carlos G. Gomez, Professor and painter

Barry was a great man with a magnetic personality. He was not afraid to say what was on his mind, but he had a gift for putting it into words that no one could take offense too because he genuinely cared for everyone he ever met. Barry was a giving man, and he enjoyed helping people out in any way he could. I will miss Barry tremendously. He was one of a kind, truly. You will not be forgotten Barry.
— Linda Pearl Avelar, family friend
