UT System Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa, M.D., will visit the UT Brownsville campus Wednesday, Feb. 26, to continue his dialogue with students, faculty and staff about the creation of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He will be joined by Board of Regents Vice Chairman and special liaison on South Texas Projects Gene Powell and Regent Ernie Aliseda.
Chancellor Cigarroa will visit with faculty and staff from 3:15 to 4 p.m. in Salon Cassia of UTB Main (formerly the Education and Business Comlex.) The Chancellor will then meet with students from 4:15 to 5 p.m., also in Salon Cassia. Students, faculty and staff from both UTB and UT Pan American are welcome to attend the informal reception. Those who attend will have an opportunity to ask questions about the process to create the new university and its impact on the community.
