Institutional and Unit Planning
Institutional Plans that are developed for specific functional areas (i.e., Enrollment or Distance Education) are created to align with the guiding goals and vision of the UTB strategic plan. Imagining More: Strategic Plan 2008-2012 include the key goals and objectives found in ancillary institutional plans that specifically detail initiatives and activities relative to a particular area or function. The UTB Strategic Plan is revisited annually with progress reports and revisions to the plan presented to the UTB community and its constituents yearly.
Department administrative Operational Plans
Each department at UTB is expected to participate in the coordinated planning process by setting annual goals that support the goals of their division, college/school, and the institution. Administrative and Operational goals are formulated to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of each department. Goals are set in response to data and information that identifies departmental weaknesses, data or information that supports optimizing opportunities, external mandates, new regulations, changes in the environmental or technological landscape the program operates within, and other aspirations for the department. Administrative/Operational Plans provide the mechanism by which individual departments report on accomplishments as well as formally request resources needed to improve departmental operations and/or effectiveness. These plans directly support college/school, division, and the UTB Strategic Plan.
