Article on Summer 2012 Programs Abroad

The Office of Global Engagement provides opportunities for cultural and educational exchange. The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College (UTB/TCS) welcomes students and faculty from other countries to our university community. Likewise, we offer study abroad opportunties for UTB/TSC students.

UTB/TSC offers a wide range of programs at all levels: certificate, associate, bachelor's, and graduate.  UTB/TSC educates more than 17,000 students at its main campus in Brownsville, Texas (the southern-most point of Texas). The campus boasts a semitropical climate, located just 20 miles from the popular beaches of South Padre Island. Set amid palm trees and resacas (oxbow lakes), UTB/TSC is a 380-acre campus that originally housed historic Fort Brown.

The University of Texas at Brownsville has been authorized by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.
