Office of the Vice President for Research

Research serves as a foundation for knowledge. The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College Office of the Vice President for Research promotes and nurtures the research initiatives of our faculty and students by assisting in:

• Identify research opportunities
• Provide research support services
• Develop of research degree programs
• Insure compliance with all research-related policies

The Office of the Vice President:

• Harbors and promotes research amongst faculty and students
• Supervises the administration of sponsored programs, research centers and institutes
• Serves as the University's spokesperson on research news
• Ensures proper guidance for research compliance and integrity
