Team Members

Member Composition

  • The Behavior Intervention Team reports to the vce president for Student Affairs through the dean of students.
  • The BIT will be chaired by the dean of students. The principal members of the team will include:
    • Chief of university police or designated representative
    • Staff psychologist, Student Health Services
    • Coordinator of Student Judicial Affairs
    • Director of Residence Life and Student Housing or designated representative
    • University Counsel or designated representative from the vice president for Business Affairs

  • An Academic Affairs representative, appointed each year by the vice president for Academic Affairs, will serve on the team in all situations which involve or affect faculty and/or academic administration and/or which involve other academic activity.

  • Other university officials who may be asked by the dean of students to serve on the team, in specific situations as needed, include but are not limited to:
    • Director of Human Resources or designated representative
    • Director of Athletics
    • Director of Student Life
    • Office of Disability Services
    • Office of News and Informtaion
    • International Students advisor
    • Faculty/Staff member
