Student Health Services offers group counseling in a private and safe atmosphere for students who may benefit from an interpersonal experience where the goal is to provide support and to learn from each other. Groups offered may include:
- Women's support group
- Gay and lesbian support groups
- Relationship enhancements
- Personal growth
- Test anxiety management
- Men's group
- Stress management
- Assertiveness training
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Eating disorders support group
- Coping with HIV
- Grief support
Group members are carefully screened and confidentiality is emphasized.
However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
New Fall 2011 Group
Starting September 6th, 2011, a lunchtime series for women who have children will begin. The group will meet at the Student Health Services, Cortez Hall 224. The group will focus on everything that is important to busy moms, including stress management, relaxation, time management, wellness, and parenting. The workshops will be Wednesdays 12-1pm. Free lunch will be provided.
