Why are you and UTB a great match?
We are a great match because I have my distance away from home, since I live in the dorms, but at the same time, I am able to go by whenever I miss them and feel homesick. I am able to get a great education with enough space from home in order to grow up.

What is something your peers may not know about you?
I may seem really serious, but I love to joke around and talk to people. I am a child at heart, but when it comes down to it, I am able to maintain focus and seriousness as needed.

What most excites you about the journey you’re about to begin?
What excites me the most is how I am going to experience so many new things, and how I'll grow up and mature with each new experience.

If you could travel back in time, where would you go?
I wouldn't go anywhere else because the time I have spent here has shown me that I belong here. This school is a perfect fit for me.

Tell us about your involvement in a high school organization you were a part of.
I was in the Varsity Mixed Choir at SBHS, National Honor Society, and a few other clubs as I went through high school. I even participated in sports, mainly track and cross country. In high school, I maintained being a well rounded student with all the extra curricular groups/activities I was involved with.

Are you planning on joining any clubs or organizations at UTB?
Right now I am in the Master Chorale here at UTB, and I am a member of STEMS.

What would the title of your autobiography be?
My autobiography title would be The Tales of Matias because it was a nickname  given to me by my choir director in high school. The nickname stuck with me as many people still refer to me as Matias.

Imagine yourself in four years at graduation. What will you be thinking?
In fours years at graduation, I will be thinking how fast time went as I went through college. All the memories and great experiences I had starting from this year til then will go through my mind. All my friends and great times with them will stand out from my memories with them the most. In the end, I will be thinking of how a brand new chapter of my life will unfold after that event. This is similar to my thoughts at high school graduation.
